Well, now that it is officially almost two weeks since the retreat, I think it is time to post pictures! Grab your popcorn, and get comfy, there are a TON of pictures!!!
I don't have any from the ice breaker, I was having too much fun participating in it!
Dana proudly displayed the girly flower napkins we used!
After brunch, we sang a few songs!
And learned our theme song: "Keep Your Heart"
Jessica shared a hymn story!
Dana spoke on: "Emotional, Physical, and Spiritual Purity"
While Dana spoke, she had the girls cut out red hearts!
Then they had to glue their hearts to a sheet of black or blue paper (We ran out of black!).
Dana then instructed them to tear off their hearts and glue them back on again!
After the glue had dried for the second time, Dana told them to do it again!
A lot of their hearts were being left on the paper!
Dana gave them each a sheet of white paper with the word "Husband" across the top
Then it was time for volleyball!!!
The non-volleyball players became the two cheer leaders!
Volleyball is much more fun playing in bare feet!
After volleyball, I spoke on: "Our Life Purpose"
We made flower pens with a white flower to represent having purity in Christ!
Had a snack!
Then listened to Jessica's session on: "Servanthood"
The girls had to come up with skits to demonstrate what they had learned in the sessions! This one was on "Servanthood"!
"Emotional, Physical, and Spiritual Purity"
"Our Life Purpose"
Tada!
Dana thanked the girls and told them a surprise; we were giving a book away for a door prize! One girl would go home with a signed copy of "Emotional Purity" by Heather Paulson!
Brooke was so surprized when we called out her name!
Then, Dana and Jessica left to get dinner, and, since I love photography, we went for a book photoshoot while the rest of the girls played "Cat and Mouse"!!!
I know there are a lot, but I couldn't decide which I liked the best, so I included all of them!!!
After the photoshoot, we all went across to the cemetary.
Retreat Girls!!!
Brooke and Stephanie are going to make great mothers with all of those hands one day!!! =)
Lauren, Stephanie, Brooke, Gianna, Joanna, Kristen, Ashley, Rebecca, Stephanie, and Jamie!
Cute smile Gianna!
The girls were thrilled with the scavenger hunt! But once they heard they had to pass the tennis ball around from girl to girl without touching it with their hands.... well, they said no pictures for that one!!!
Human Knot!
*Singing* "I'm at a Girls' Retreat, and so are you...." to the tune of "Father Abraham"!
Right arm...
...Turn around...
...Get chocolate! Yep, at the end of the hunt, they were led to a girls best friend, chocolate!
Dana taught one last session on: "Prayer" and "Beauty Inside and Out". We were running late, so the girls enjoyed a combined session!
The speakers: Caitlin, Jessica, and Dana!
And a fun picture of us!
There were still a few girls left after 10:00, so I read them "The Princess and the Kiss", one of my favorite books! If you weren't there or didn't get to hear the story, you need to go and buy the book! You will love it! There is also a boy's book, "The Squire and the Scroll". I haven't read that yet, but I heard it's a good book! Anyway, as I read the last page I saw the verse at the bottom of the page was 1 Timothy 1:5 ~ our theme verse! I hadn't even noticed that before!
We had so much fun planning this retreat; one of us would get this "great idea" and we just had to add it in! So, needless to say, the next retreat will have to be longer than just one day!

Very nicely done. It looks like all the young ladies had a very pleasant time!
Great Blog Caitlin! Looks like all you ladies had a wonderful retreat!
Hello Caitlin!
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and for the comment and help with posting pictures. :)
I'm so sorry for just now replying. Things have been crazily busy!
Anyway, I loved seeing your photos of the young ladies retreat! It reminds me SO much of the "Maiden's Quest" retreats I used to attend and help out with over the last few years.
Since the girls who used to do "Maiden's Quest" retreats took a sabbatical, my sisters and I have actually thought about doing a one day retreat hopefully in the not too long future.
Do you head these retreats up?
Hope you're having a blessed day and I'm so glad to have "met" you here! :)
Blessings,
~Michelle
