Dana (Savino) Shook
When I think ofgirls I want them to have a deep relationship with the Lord. Where they are not afraid to go to Him; where He is number one in their life. When I look back at my life when I was single, what I am ashamed of is when I didn’t put the Lord first. When I didn’t invest time where it really mattered. True joy comes from having a perfect relationship with the Lord. When you have a right relationship with the Lord everything comes together.

Caitlin Savino
I desire to see young people aspire higher than the“normal” mediocrity of this world, and rise up to be world changers through the gifts God has given them that they be dynamic examples and impact the world for Christ. I’m excited for I know this retreat will be just the beginning of a new chapter in their lives – all former expectations of God will be transformed into a bigger perspective of the vast depth of the love of God

“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17-19

Dana then instructed them to tear off their hearts and glue them back on again!

IMG_4734

A lot of their hearts were being left on the paper!

IMG_4705

Dana gave them each a sheet of white paper with the word "Husband" across the top

IMG_4737

She explained that each time you give your heart away, pieces of it get left behind, and this is all that's left for your husband.

The speakers: Caitlin, Jessica, and Dana!

IMG_4910

And a fun picture of us!

There were still a few girls left after 10:00, so I read them "The Princess and the Kiss", one of my favorite books! If you weren't there or didn't get to hear the story, you need to go and buy the book! You will love it! There is also a boy's book, "The Squire and the Scroll". I haven't read that yet, but I heard it's a good book! Anyway, as I read the last page I saw the verse at the bottom of the page was 1 Timothy 1:5 ~ our theme verse! I hadn't even noticed that before!

We had so much fun planning this retreat; one of us would get this "great idea" and we just had to add it in! So, needless to say, the next retreat will have to be longer than just one day!
